You aren’t going to change someone’s mind by force. You have to help them change their own mind. Here’s how.
First, they need to know that you’re not enemies. You have to be patient, put yourself in their position. Listen to their point of view and ask where they got their information. Then, allow them to see that if you were in their position, you would think the same way.
Once you have established that trust, you can find a point in which you both agree, ask questions, and provide evidence to your side little by little. In this way, the other person will understand the reality on their own.
You can't convince anyone. You have to help them convince themselves.
